PMGY was implemented from 2000 - 2001 with the objective of achieving sustainable human development at the village level. Now it is a component of Basic Minimum Services (BMS) which was started in 1996 - 97. PMGY aims at consolidating the gain achieved under the earlier BMS programme as well as to further focus and build on this programme. During the financial year 2002 - 03 Rs. 30.56 lakhs under state sector and Rs.17.20 lakhs under additional central assistance were allotted. Total Rs.47.76 lakhs. This amount is for expansion of primary health care facilities. We propose to start one First Aid Centre at Bangaram and also to provide additional activities in the existing building of PHC, Kadmath under this programme. |
